Dance/Movement Photoshoot
A Dance/Movement photoshoot is all about celebrating and capturing the grace, strength and artistry of your movements. We will begin by discussing your style and vision, ensuring that your shoot reflects your unique dance form and personality. This session is designed to make you feel at ease, allowing you to express yourself fully and naturally. Having a professional dance background allows for me to guide, and support you throughout the shoot by making posing suggestions and small technical corrections that aim to create stunning images that showcase the beauty and passion of your movements.
What to Wear:
-It's better to have too many outfits than not enough. I encourage you to bring something flowy and also form fitting so you have options to choose from.
-Keep in mind, the backdrop for all in-studio shoots is white (colored gels are available for an additional fee, but must be discussed beforehand), so plan accordingly on the color of your outfits.
-Above all else, your comfort and confidence is what makes the best photos. So choose outfits that you feel comfortable in.
-You can check out my Instagram feed for some ideas and inspiration on outfit options from past clients.
-Feel free to bring props if you wish. Just make sure to let me know ahead of time what you are planning to bring.
Hair, Makeup, and Prep:
-Arrive with hair and make-up done.
-Hair down tends to make for some great photos, however does not work out in some poses, so I would recommend making sure you have a plan to temporarily put it up if need be. Feel free to wear whatever hairstyle makes you feel more comfortable
-Makeup should be natural to light stage makeup.
-Be warmed up and ready to go for your time slot. You can arrive 15-20 minutes early to stretch and warm up if you wish.
Posing/Ideas
-Please come prepared with 10-20 poses in mind. (You can screen shot them and create an easy to access album on your phone to bring into your shoot with you.
- I have poses on hand that I can suggest and you can browse through as well, however looking for poses does take away from your opportunity for more shots, so i always recommend coming prepared.
- Feel free to reach out before the shoot if you're having trouble coming up with poses. My Instagram page is also a great resource to look at for ideas and inspiration.
-Remember your strengths and find poses that you are comfortable and confident with and be sure to practice them at home before your photoshoot.
-My background as a professional dancer allows me to guide you and your poses to create the most visually appealing shots.
Time Slots
-The standard dace/movement photoshoot package includes a 60 minute photoshoot.
-Be sure to arrive on time for your shoot. If you want to stretch and warm up before your shoot, please arrive early in order to do so.
-Any outfit changes are included in your time slot.
